The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson has announced his new studio album which is pun-tastically entitled No Pier Pressure
The LP, which is the singer's 11th solo studio album, will be released on April 6 by Virgin EMI.
For the album, Wilson has reunited with frequent collaborator Joe Thomas. The two co-produced The Beach Boys' 2012 release That's Why God Made the Radio.
Wilson was also joined by fellow former band mates Blondie Chaplin, Al Jardine and David Marks at Hollywood's Ocean Way Studios.
Other collaborators on the album include Fun's Nate Ruess, Kacey Musgraves and Zooey Deschanel with M Ward, credited under their band name She & Him.
Last year some of Wilson's fans were angered when plans to collaborate with Deschanel, as well as Lana Del Rey and Frank Ocean, were announced.
This caused Wilson to speak out and he said: "It kind of bums me out to see some of the negativity here about the album I've been working so hard on.
"I love what we've done. I would think that after making music for more than 50 years, my fans would understand that I'll always do what's in my heart - and I think that's why you are my fans."
