The Bee Gees are members of both The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame and winners of seven Grammy Awards. On February 7, The Recording Academy will present Barry Gibb with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
A new five-disc collection includes four of the Bee Gee’s studio albums, along with a selection of songs from the multi-Grammy-winning soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever (1977), plus b-sides and outtakes. Bee Gees: 1974-1979 will be available Friday March 20, and the set will also be available digitally.
Robin Gibbs' last album, 50 St Catherine's Drive was released last September, taking its title from the address of the house where he was born and grew up in Douglas, on the Isle of Man. It contains the last tracks written and recorded by Robin who passed on in 2012. Maurice Gibb died in 2003. Andy Gibb, the youngest of the Gibb brothers died in 1988. Barry Gibb is the sole surviving Bee Gee.
Watch Robin perform his updated version of a 1966 Bee Gees B-side, I Am the World, drawn from his final recordings.
