Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm and Chris Pine have been announced to join the cast of the upcoming Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer.

According to Deadline, the high-profile new cast members will also be joined by Jason Schwartzman in the limited run series which serves as a prequel to the 2001 parody of teen sex comedies.

Original series stars Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler and Janeane Garofalo will all reprise their roles as counsellors at a Jewish day camp.

Wiig will play a rival counsellor, Mad Men's Ham has been cast as a spy and Pine will portray a mysterious visitor.
