Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike has been cast in the upcoming sea adventure movie The Bends.
The actress, who has been nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in David Fincher's Gone Girl, will star alongside The Killing's Joel Kinnaman in the film.
The Bends tells the story of a diving expedition that uncovers a mystery on the sea floor. The expedition then dredges up old problems for an ex-marine who is trying to pay off mob debts.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jean Luc Herbulot will direct the project.
