Emma Watson will star in Disney's new live-action version of the classic fairytale Beauty and the Beast.
The former Harry Potter star confirmed via her Facebook page that she has closed a deal to play Belle in Twilight director Bill Condon's upcoming adaptation.
Stephen Chbosky, who directed Watson in his adaptation of his own novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower, has written the film's screenplay from a previous draft by Evan Spiliotopoulos.
Watson was previously attached to a different Beauty and the Beast adaptation from Guillermo del Toro and Warner Bros, but Del Toro departed the project this summer.
"My six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting," Watson wrote. "Time to start some singing lessons. I can't wait for you to see it."
