Check out a preview clip from Farr, a brand new crime drama series which has been released on the RTÉ Player today.

Set in Belfast, Farr is a crime drama that centres on Michael Gallagher, an ambitious young detective who has been promoted to a task force aimed at taking down the city’s most dangerous crime family, the Farrs. As his investigation deepens, a murder of one of the Farrs pushes Michael towards a reckoning with his own dark past. As the bodies and betrayals mount, Michael must choose between destroying the Farrs or saving himself. 

The four-part series was produced by the Belfast-based production company Stirling Film and TV Productions. The series was written and directed by Aidan Largey. Shaun Blaney plays Michael Gallagher the lead character in the series and co-created the story along with writer/director, Aidan Largey. Stirling Film and TV Productions has been producing for television since 1994. Based in Belfast, they specialise in drama, true crime programming, factual entertainment series and hard-hitting observational documentary series.

Farr is one of five new original dramas, commissioned by RTÉ and the Irish Film Board for the new season of Storyland, a commissioning platform to identify new and emerging creative talent in Ireland. The five new Storyland dramas, shown nationally and internationally on the Storyland hub on RTÉ Player, brings new talent and great new stories to audiences.
