Check out a stunning performance of Lisa Hannigan's Passenger by 10-year-old Saoirse Cogan from Vicarstown, Co. Cork.
With a voice that top Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan describes as "beautiful" it's hard to believe that Saoirse Cogan is just 10-years-old.
Hailing from Vicarstown, Co. Cork, Saoirse is a pupil of Berrings National School and also attends Voiceworks Studio where director Gemma Sugrue says she is an absolute pleasure to teach.
We came across Saoirse's gorgeous rendition of Lisa Hannigan's Passenger on Facebook today and it seems Saoirse's singing idol also spotted her video.
Lisa was quick to get in touch and told Saoirse that she had a really lovely tone and that she was amazed she was only 10-years-old.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN from her home in Cork Saoirse said: "I nearly fainted when I heard what Lisa said. We only made the video last night. I am a really big fan."
Gina, Saoirse's mam, told RTÉ TEN that Saoirse picked up her love of singing from her dad. She said: "Saoirse is always singing around the house with her dad as he is a great singer. They love to sing Irish ballads together.
About two years ago she arrived home from school and said she had a number for a place called Voiceworks can I go? And it just went from there."
However, Saoirse, who also loves to sing songs by Sting, is not looking to become the next Katy Perry. She explained: "I don't want to be famous, I would just like to be well known and sing around Ireland."
We think she has a great future in the music business ahead of her.
