Gotham tells the story behind Commissioner James Gordon's rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival.
It traces the rise of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told.
Ben McKenzie stars as Commissioner Gordon and reveals how excited he is about being part of the show. He says: "I can't wait for people to see this. We are going to make something pretty special."
In the clip below Jada Pinkett Smith talks about her villainous character Fish Mooney, she says: "When will I have an opportunity to take on an opportunity to on a character that has so many layers. It's the role of a lifetime."
In the 'First Look' series premiere on RTÉ 2 next Monday at 9pm, Gotham follows Jim Gordon, a cop destined for greatness, as he navigates a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
