With the current series of Operation Transformation continuing on RTÉ One on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8:30pm, followers of the show are being encouraged to sign up for the annual 5k runs, which will take place in Dublin and Cork on February 21.
The Dublin 5k run will take place in the Phoenix Park on Saturday February 21 at 10am, and the Cork run takes place in Blarney Castle at the same time.
Applications to take part will open at www.rte.ie/ot at 9:00pm after the Wednesday January 21 show on RTÉ One.
There are 5,000 places available for the Dublin run and 3,000 for Cork.
The show's fitness expert Karl Henry says: "Running is a simple and free way to get fit, tone up and deal with stress. If you can run 5K, you can change your life."
