Fox has ordered a pilot for a remake of the BBC show Luther.
The police thriller has been given a put pilot commitment, i.e., a pilot that the US network has agreed to air.
However, Idris Elba is not expected to reprise his role as Luther in the one-hour pilot. He will serve as executive producer along with series creator and writer Neil Cross.
Fox has also ordered three other new pilots: Frankenstein, a one-hour pilot about a corrupt police officer who is given a chance to change his ways when he is brought back from the dead; drama Rosewood which follows a Miami-based private pathologist; and a single camera comedy titled 48 Hours 'Til Monday.
