Actress Archie Panjabi has said she decided to leave her role as Kalinda Sharma in The Good Wife when the bisexual character had too much of an influence on her performance during her kissing scene with Gillian Anderson in The Fall.
Speaking to Radio Times, Panjabi said of her experience filming The Fall with Anderson: "When I was kissing her, Allan Cubitt, the show's creator and director, had to say, 'Archie, can you hold back?', because Gillian was supposed to take me by complete surprise."
Panjabi continued: "I didn't think that I was very forward in [the scene], but obviously after a while a character starts to affect you."
She added: "I thought, 'Okay, I think it's time to go now'."
