Storyland - the commissioning platform to identify new and emerging creative talent in Ireland - has returned for a fifth season.

RTÉ and the Irish Film Board/Bórd Scannan na hEireann are releasing a total five new original online dramas for the new run.

Showcasing a great range of creative talent, the new dramas will be shown nationally and internationally on the Storyland hub on RTÉ Player www.rte.ie/storyland.

Beginning today, Jan 19, a new series will be released on RTÉ Player each Monday for the next five weeks. The first one up is Burning Wishes, a black comedy about death, friendship and good ol’ fashioned grave-robbing. It was made by Deadpan Pictures.

David Crean, Executive Producer for RTÉ Television said: "RTÉ dramas such as Love/Hate, Amber and Charlie demonstrate the insatiable appetite for great Irish drama.

"So we are excited to bring the new season of Storyland to audiences both nationally and internationally through RTÉ Player with five wholly original dramas and comedies for audiences to get engrossed in."
