Fans of The X-Files rejoice, Mulder and Scully could be making a comeback in the near future.
Fox Chairman Gary Newman revealed over the weekend that the network is seriously considering rebooting The X-Files.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour in California Newman said: "It's true that we've had some conversations on X-Files. We're hopeful of being able to bring that back at some point,"
He also confirmed that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who starred in The X-Files, would reprise their roles if a reboot goes ahead.
The X-Files, which aired between 1993 and 2002, followed FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, played by Duchovny and Anderson, as they travelled around the US investigating paranormal and extra terrestrial cases.
