One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is making plans to become the next Simon Cowell.
The 23-year-old boybander has set up a new company called 78 Productions Limited and has started following unsigned bands on Twitter, creating speculation that he is on the lookout for the next big music act.
A music industry source told The Sun newspaper: ''Louis spent a lot of time backstage at The X Factor last year, partly so he could spend time with Simon and get to know how the industry works.''
Tomlinson and his bandmate Liam Payne, 21, spotted the potential of fellow boyband 5 Seconds of Summer and invited them to support One Direction on tour.
As a result, all of One Direction now own a stake in 5SOS, who were recently nominated for a Brit award.
