Michael Keaton is reportedly in talks to star in the McDonald's movie The Founder.
The Birdman star is in being lined up to play Ray Kroc, the man who turned the McDonald's business into a global fast food empire, reports Variety.
Kroc was working as a milkshake dispenser salesman before beginning to work for the McDonald brothers in 1954 at the age of 51 as a franchising agent. He eventually bought the chain in 1961 for $2.7 million.
The Wrestler writer Robert Siegel has written the script, while John Lee Hancock has been in negotiations to direct.
Keaton is currently earning rave reviews for his performance in Birdman, for which he won the Best Actor in a Comedy Film award at the Golden Globes 2015.
