Transformers nominated for worst film of the year

Will Transformers ever face its own age of extinction?
Will Transformers ever face its own age of extinction?

Forget all that smart alecky Golden Globes malarkey and those tearful Oscar acceptance speeches - here are the nominations for the most fun awards ceremony of the year - The Razzies, the annual gong show for the worst Hollywood has to offer.

The movies and stars in the running for awards for cinematic rubbish have been announced and Michael Bay's migraine-inducing Transformers: Age of Extinction, starring our very own wonder boy Jack Reynor, is high on the list for the Worst Movie of The Year award.

It's got some stiff competition from the likes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Legend of Hercules.

Up for a gong for Worst Actor are Nicholas Cage and Razzie favourite Adam Sandler, while Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz are among those who get the nod of shame for the Worst Actress category.

Winners of The 35th Annual Razzie Awards will be announced at an "intentionally tacky ceremony held at the Montalban Theatre in the Heart of  H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D!" on February 21, the day before The Oscars.
