Tom Vaughan-Lawlor has signed-up to star in Jim Sheridan's upcoming film The Secret Scripture.
The film, based on Sebastian Barry's book, will also star Jeremy Irons, Rooney Mara, Eric Bana and Jack Reynor.
The Secret Scripture, which has been in the pipeline for a number of years, and filming will begin in Dublin and Wicklow over the next few weeks.
Vaughan-Lawlor shot to fame as Nidge in Love/Hate and can currently be seen in RTÉ One drama Charlie.
