Dexter star Michael C Hall has been cast in Pete's Dragon.
According to Variety, the actor will star alongside Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley and newcomer Oakes Fegley in Disney's remake of the 1977 movie.
David Lowery is directing the project from a script he co-wrote with Toby Halbrooks.
The original film was a live action/animation hybrid about a boy called Pete and his best friend Elliot who is a dragon.
The remake will be live action with CGI being used to bring the dragon to life.
Hall most recently starred in the crime drama Cold in July.
