Rapper Snoop Dogg has closed a deal with Fox TV to play himself in a guest starring role on new drama Empire.
The 43-year-old star, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, will appear in episode 11 of the series, according to The Wrap.
The show centres on a dying music mogul (Terrence Howard), his conniving ex-wife (Taraji P. Henson) and their three sons (Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Gray and Trai Byers) battling for control of the family empire.
Snoop is currently working on his new album, Bush.
