Rod Taylor, the Australian actor whose credits included The Birds, Inglourious Basterds, The Time Machine, The V.I.P.s and Giant, has died. He was 84.
Taylor, who was due to celebrate his 85th birthday on Sunday January 11, suffered a heart attack at his home in Los Angeles.
His other screen credits included Walker, Texas Ranger, Falcon Crest, The Oregon Trail, Zabriskie Point and 101 Dalmatians.
He is survived by his wife Carol Kikumura and daughter Felicia Rodrica Sturt Taylor.
