Daredevil is the latest comic book hero to land a TV series and he's coming to Netflix in April.
Season one of Marvel's Daredevil will premiere with 13 one-hour episodes on April 10, 2015 (8am Irish time) in all territories where Netflix is available.
Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (played by Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen area of Manhattan in New York City.
Murdock was blinded by a radioactive substance, but that radioactive exposure heightens his remaining senses beyond normal human ability. Daredevil is also known as the Man Without Fear.
One of Marvel's long-running successes, Daredevil first appeared in 1964 and is regarded as one of the great comic book heroes.
Daredevil will be the first of four epic live-action adventure series (A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in The Defenders) that delves into the back story of how Matt Murdock evolved.
