Forget soap wars – there's been an outbreak of mutual respect between Fair City and new arrival Red Rock.
RTÉ One's soap based in the fictitious Dublin suburb of Carrigstown has been on the go for more than a quarter of a century, while TV3's Red Rock is a spanking new series that begins tonight, January 7.
Ahead of the latter's debut, the Fair City twitter account posted the following tweet: "Wishing @RedRockTV3 the best of luck ahead of tonight's launch - the more Irish drama the better!!!"
In response, Red Rock tweeted: "Thank you @RTEFairCity it'll be an exciting night #IrishDrama"
So now you know why acting types are called "luvvies"!
