Emma Stone has revealed that she likes to "stay at home" during her brief periods of downtime.

The Spider Man star admitted that her hectic work life means that she doesn't have much spare time.

She told Loaded about what she does when she's not working, saying: "I just stay at home. A few people come over and I watch movies and I read and that's pretty much all I've got outside of work ... All I've been doing is working (lately) so I haven't been able to do that much outside of work."

The 26-year-old actress added that she works so much because she is worried she won't always be in demand, like the start of her career.

She said: "There have been periods of time throughout it all where it felt like the nature of being an actor is that you finish something and then you feel like you're never going to get another job again, and that doesn't really ever go away.

"It doesn't really matter what it is you last did. It always feels like your fingers are crossed and you're just waiting to see what's going to happen next. So I have a healthy amount of not believing that anything will continue past the next six months or something. Maybe that sounds horribly negative."
