Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has become engaged to True Blood star Joe Manganiello.
E! News confirmed the news that Manganiello proposed to the actress late on Christmas Eve.
Vergara posted this message on Instagram but didn't mention the news: "Happy happy bday to my love and best friend, to the one that makes me laugh like crazy! Have a healthy wonderful year babe!!! @joemanganiello."
The 42-year-old actress, who has a son from her marriage to Joe Gonzalez, was engaged to Nick Loeb for two years but their relationship ended in May this year.
Before she and Manganiello began dating, he had said in an interview for People magazine that she was his 'celeb crush'.
When reminded of the fact by E! News presenter Ryan Seacrest in August, he said: "I had forgotten I had said that. And when the magazine came out, by that time, we were seeing each other and when I got the magazine and opened it up and read it, I forgot I said that. I started laughing."
Vergara was very amused when she read it: "She was laughing at me. She thought that I was crazy for having said that out loud or said it in the magazine, but you know, I guess it worked."
