Mrs Brown's Boys: D'Movie took over €3.8 million at the Irish box office this year, making it the highest-grossing movie in Ireland seeing off competition from The Lego Movie and Gone Girl

Brendan O'Carroll's creation made €18.3 million globally and there has already been talk of two sequels. The Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas Special was watched by 756,000 viewers on Christmas Day on RTÉ One. 

In the UK, the special was watched by 7.61 million people and was only topped by the Queen’s Christmas Broadcast.
