Ed Sheeran has revealed an audio clip of himself singing as a much younger man which does not hint - one tiny bit - at his future success as the prince of the heart-tugging ballad.
Ed gave the clip its first public airing on the Jonathan Ross Show after insisting that singers are "not born with talent".
Ed grimaced as he played the clip and held hands with Ross to ease the pain. "I practiced after that", he said. "I think I needed it".
