Gone Girl actress Kim Dickens has been cast as the female lead in AMC's spin-off of The Walking Dead.
Deadline reports that the 49-year-old actress will star opposite Cliff Curtis in the show created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson.
Dickens, who played Detective Rhonda Boney in Gone Girl, will take on the role of a guidance counsellor in a relationship with a divorced teacher played by Curtis, in the new show.
Kim's TV credits also include Sons of Anarchy, Friday Night Lights, and Lost.
