Sir Paul McCartney has paid tribute to the late Joe Cocker revealing that he will be forever grateful to the rocker for taking the Beatles' With A Little Help From My Friends to the top of the charts.
It was confirmed that 70-year-old star had lost his battle with cancer on Monday (Dec 22). Several well-known names from the entertainment industry paid tribute to Cocker via Twitter including Ringo Starr, Peter Frampton and Tom Morello.
Paul McCartney has also paid tribute to the music legend revealing that he was thrilled with Cocker's cover of his song, which became the passionate rocker's signature tune.
McCartney said: "It totally turned the song into a soul anthem and I was forever grateful to him for doing that."
