X Factor winner Ben Haenow has claimed the UK Christmas Number 1 chart spot for 2014 and is "absolutely shocked."
The singer's single Something I Need raced to the top of the charts and Haenow told the Official Charts Company, "To have even been in the running for Christmas Number 1 against some of the names that were in the race, and then to have actually won is incredible.
"It's an incredible end to my year. I'm gonna go and have a few good drinks with my mates – definitely more than a few good drinks to really celebrate! I'm absolutely shocked, I can't believe it. Literally every day has been a pinch myself moment. I've been doing stuff that I never would have dreamed I'd be doing.
"To have won the competition and to have a Christmas Number 1, to have done everything that I've done this past week… It's been busy, but I want to be busy, I want to be working so I'm grateful for everything I've been doing."
