According to Deadline, Fincher's first project, Shakedown, will see him collaborate with LA Confidential writer James Ellroy.

The series will be based on the life of police officer-turned-private-investigator Fred Otash who operated in Los Angeles in the 1950s.

The second project, Living on Video, will be set in Los Angeles in the 1980s and will follow an aspiring director with big dreams of helming a sci-fi blockbuster.
