Elton John and his partner David Furnish are set to marry this weekend in England.
The Tiny Dancer singer's representative confirmed the new to Us magazine.
The couple, who have been in a civil partnership since 2005, will marry in the UK following the recent legalisation of same-sex marriage, which officially became law in March this year.
In an interview with Today soon after same-sex marriage became legal, John said: "We'll do it very quietly. But we will do it and it will be a joyous occasion and we will have our children [there].
"For this legislation to come through is joyous and we should celebrate it. We shouldn't just say, 'Oh, well, we have a civil partnership, we're not going to bother to get married'. We will get married."
The couple are parents to sons Zachary, 3, and Elijah, 23 months.
