Actress Tessa Thompson has landed the female lead in the upcoming Rocky spin-off, Creed.
The 31-year-old Veronica Mars star is set to join Sylvester Stallone as he reprises his iconic character, Rocky Balboa, reports Deadline.
In the spin-off, Rocky is now a trainer and mentor to the grandson of his boxing best friend Apollo Creed.
Michael B. Jordan is set to play Creed's grandson, while director Ryan Coogler will helm the film.
