676 personal possessions belonging to Burt Reynolds - ranging from a carriage given to him by Dolly Parton to his own voided American Express card - are up for sale in Las Vegas today.
The collection includes blingy belt buckles, customised branding irons, a photo frame - a gift from Liz Taylor - leather chaps, pairs of cowboy boots, and a gold pocket watch which he received as a gift from Sally Field.
Also in the bizarrely varied lot is a drunken letter from the late actress Katherine Hepburn - current bid, $900 - and the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am he didn’t actually drive in Smokey and the Bandit.
A red “Bandit” jacket and an embroidered Western shirt from Smokey and the Bandit II, a sombrero worn in 100 Rifles, monogrammed boots worn in Striptease, a football helmet from the original Longest Yard.
A fake Oscar statuette and a genuine Emmy award are also up for grabs through the firm, Julien's Auctions. The event continues tomorrow.
