Benedict Cumberbatch has said he's "really excited" to take on the role of Doctor Strange for the upcoming Marvel film, saying it's a "thrilling" job to get.
Speaking on the red carpet at the British Independent Film Awards last night (December 7), the Sherlock star said of the casting news: "[I'm] really excited, you know?"
He continued: "There's a lot of work to be done and I'm just at the beginning so I don't want to talk much about it, but it's a thrilling gig to get."
It was officially confirmed last week that Cumberbatch would take on the role following much speculation.
Doctor Strange is slated for release in November 2016.
