AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with threatening to kill an associate and the associate's daughter.
Rudd was originally arrested for allegedly procuring an attempted murder in November, but it was later indicated that the charge would be dropped due to lack of evidence.
The AP is reporting that New Zealand prosecutors have now formally laid out their case against Rudd and have charged him for allegedly threatening to kill an associate and that man's daughter.
The man who was allegedly threatened worked under a contract arrangement for Rudd for three years, prosecutors have said.
Rudd has also been cited for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana. If convicted, the drummer would face a custodial potential sentence of up to seven years for the threat charge alone.
Rudd has entered a not guilty plea to the threat charge, and will face a trial-by-judge in 2015.
