The soul great will be the first recipient of the prize that will recognise her lifetime achievement in the field of music and her lasting impact on the music industry.
Taylor Swift (Woman of the Year), Ariana Grande (Rising Star) and Idina Menzel (Breakthrough Artist of the Year) will also be honoured on the night.
