The one and only Larry Gogan popped into The Tubridy Show to launch the first Christmas song on RTÉ 2fm today (Monday December 1).
For over 30 years Larry has unveiled the first Christmas song on the station at the beginning of December, marking the official beginning of the Christmas celebrations.
He told TEN that he got a little bit of stick for playing Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas last year so this year he went for the most popular festive song ever. Can you guess what it is? Click the video link above to find out.
In keeping with the festive spirit 2fm recently launched its nationwide Give a Gift campaign for St Vincent de Paul in association with Aldi. Listeners can donate an unwrapped gift to any Aldi staff member at any of the 112 Aldi stores nationwide until Friday December 5, 2014.
On Friday December 5, 2fm will broadcast live from the Benetton window on St Stephen's Green at the top of Grafton Street in Dublin and "some of the biggest names in Irish music and entertainment will be popping by to contribute on the day".
