SOAK makes BBC Sound Of 2015 longlist

Derry singer Soak has made the longlist for the BBC Sound of 2015, the annual round-up of new artists which has previously predicted breakthrough success for Adele, Sam Smith and Ellie Goudling.

17-year-old Soak, real name Bridie Monds-Watson, is one of 15 acts on the list including Slaves, Wolf Alice and Sunset Sons. 

Previous winners of the BBC Sound poll have included Adele, Jessie J and Ellie Goulding. The overall winner of next year's poll will be revealed on January 9. 

The full Sound Of 2015 longlist is: George The Poet, James Bay, Kwabs, Låpsley, Novelist, Rae Morris, Raury, Shamir
Shura, Slaves, Soak, Stormzy, Sunset Sons, Wolf Alice, Years & Years.
