Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will only sign acts who are ''over 18'' to her future record label.
The 31-year-old Crazy Stupid Love singer wants to ensure that her talent are ready for the cut-throat music industry.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said, ''It's too much pressure. They would have to be over 18. But I would develop them while they're in school.
''Look around at the child stars - the record's not exactly promising.''
Chezza further revealed that she can't wait to get cracking on her new label, but revealed that it's going to a while to get things up and running.
She added, ''I would nurture the artist before they put anything out there. I would ensure my girls do a preparation course.
''I love the aspect of X Factor where I'm nurturing talent. Watching the sparkle in someone else's eye and remembering you having that dream, it's such a buzz. These things take a long time. I have to get the right team.''
