Stevi Ritchie has become the latest contestant to be voted off The X Factor.

The call centre worker found himself in the bottom two alongside Andrea Faustini, and lost out in a sing-off against his fellow contestant.

Ritchie sang a rendition of This Is the Moment from the musical Jekyll and Hyde, while Faustini performed a version of Stop by Sam Brown.

Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini both voted to send Ritchie home, while Simon Cowell said of his performance: "We realise that you are not the best singer, but you've been great fun and a great entertainer, and people have fallen in love with you. I'm going to stand by my Stevi."

Louis Walsh opted to keep Faustini in the competition.

Ritchie said: "The whole experience for me has been an absolute dream; I never thought I would get this far. I want to thank you for your support, the production people, the lovely judges, my best friend and mentor Simon."

The five remaining acts in this year's competition are Faustini, Lauren Platt, Ben Haenow, Fleur East and the eight-strong group Stereo Kicks.
