Having taken compassionate leave due to a family emergency, Claudia Winkleman will return to co-host Strictly Come Dancing with Tess Daly on BBC One this weekend.
Winkleman had missed a number of weeks of the show after her daughter Matilda was injured in a fire-related accident at Halloween.
The presenter said on Twitter: "Hello Twitter. Firstly, a huge thank you to the incredible NHS doctors and nurses who are being extraordinary.
"We are bowled over by their kindness and brilliance. Matilda is doing well and although it will be a long road to recovery, she is getting the best possible care."
She later added: "Thank you so much for your lovely messages - they meant everything. I'm coming back to Strictly this weekend but am out of practice, so please bear with me."
