The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone, who is bringing Stephen King's classic post-apocalyptic novel The Stand to the big screen, has said that Warner Bros plans to turn the epic into four films.
Deadline.com says Boone told Kevin Smith's Babble-On podcast: "They asked, 'Would you do this as multiple films?' I said, '**** yes'. I think we're going to do four movies."
He continued: "Do The Stand at the highest level you can do it at, with a cast that's going to blow peoples' minds. Production in the spring."
Boone, who described The Stand as "The Godfather of post-apocalyptic thrillers", said that he is currently writing the first film.
