The Wire's Michael Hyatt and True Blood's Riley Smith are among the latest stars added to the True Detective line-up.
Deadline reports that Hyatt will play a crime attorney with Smith taking the role of a sheriff's deputy and boyfriend of the female lead, expected to be played by Rachel McAdams though she is yet to officially sign a contract.
Yara Martinez has also joined the cast and will play a Mexican-American immigrant running an inn while fellow newbie Adria Arjona is set to play Emily, the girlfriend of Taylor Kitsch's character.
The second season of the show will centre on three police officers; Colin Farrell, Kitsch and probably McAdams, with Vince Vaughn confirmed to play the criminal.
