UNICEF have gathered together a whole host of stars including Danny O'Donoghue from The Script, Idris Elba and Katy Perry, to re-record John Lennon's classic track Imagine.

The video sees the stars each sing one line from the iconic song, standing against a white background, and it's a who's who of movie stars, musicians and celebrities.

Each person in the video recorded a complete version of the song, these individual tracks will be produced by David Guetta and are expected to be released in the run-up to the New Year.

Guetta said of the collaboration, "I'm really excited to be working with UNICEF on this incredible new project. Our 'world' version of Imagine will be like no other – I am proud to be a part of this collaboration.

"We have to get the word out that every voice counts and every child counts too."

The campaign marks the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Anthony Lake, Unicef executive director, said, "The Convention on the Rights of the Child asked us all to imagine a better world for children – and calls on all of us to make that vision a reality.

"The #IMAGINE project gives people across the globe a chance to join a global movement for children, lending their ideas, their visions and, not least, their voices to advance the rights of every child, everywhere."
