Coldplay’s Chris Martin has revealed that he was inspired to write their hit single A Sky Full of Stars after a heavy bout of listening to Katy Perry's music.
"I'll tell you the truth — I was listening to a lot of Katy Perry. A lot of her songs have the same chord sequence the whole time," Martin declared in a new video for Beats by Dre.
"Your body feels comfortable with them and then the melody is changing on top so there's a groove you really get into."
