Folk legend Finbar Furey plays Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on February 15 2015.
Singer/songwriter, All-Ireland winning piper, whistle player, 5-string banjo-player and guitarist, Finbar achieved fame as lead singer/ frontman with The Furey Brothers and Davey Arthur, notably with the song The Green Fields of France, which was a smash hit in the late seventies.
However, BBC radio John Peel was a big fan in the early years of that decade, and named the Furey Brothers - who were then just Finbar and Eddie - his Act of the Year. The Fureys enjoyed UK chart success around that time with the Gerry Mulligan song, Her Father Didn't Like Me Anyway.
Tickets on sale for Finbar's concert this Monday November 24 from Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
