Jimmy Fallon stepped into Bono's shoes on The Tonight Show, after U2 had to pull out of a week-long residency at the last minute.
The Irish rockers were forced to cancel their appearance on the show after Bono injured his arm after falling off his bike in New York.
Talk show host Fallon wished Bono well before telling the audience: "Who do we get to come on the show? And then I realised. We already have the best band in the world, The Roots, here every single night."
He then donned a pair of Bono's trademark coloured sunglasses and a peaked cap before joining The Roots on stage for a rendition of U2's hit Desire.
