Dame Judi Dench has admitted she was not happy when James Bond bosses decided to kill off her character M in 2012's Skyfall.
The 79-year-old actress, who portrayed the MI6 boss in seven Bond movies, has revealed she was disappointed when she was told her character was going to die.
In an article for You magazine Dench said: "So much has happened to me in the past 10 years.
"I have played M three more times and was not best pleased when they killed me off in Skyfall."
The Oscar-winning actress also spoke about how she has been careful with the roles she has chosen throughout her career to avoid being typecast.
She said: "All my life I have tried to avoid being typecast or pigeon-holed, and whenever anyone says, Oh, you shouldn't play that part,' it only makes me more determined to try."
