Jude Law is to team up with his Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie – this time to play the villain in Ritchie's Knights of the Round Table movie.
The 41-year-old actor will play a menacing villain in the first movie of the planned, six-film King Arthur series. It is yet unknown if Law's character will feature in future films.
The medieval franchise has already cast Charlie Hunnam in the lead role of Arthur, with Astrid Berges-Frisbey playing Guinevere.
Ritchie is currently meeting with actors for the part of the king's mentor, the last major role to be cast.
Luther star Idris Elba was originally in talks for the role but a deal could not be reached.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the movie will open in cinemas on July 22, 2016.
