Robert De Niro is in talks to reunite with his Silver Linings Playbook co-star, Jennifer Lawrence, in a new project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is in negotiations to join their Playbook director David O. Russell's film Joy, about the inventor of the Miracle Mop.
The movie tells the true rags-to-riches story of Joy Mangano, the single mother who invented the Miracle Mop and made her fortune.
Lawrence will play the lead role of Joy while De Niro would play Joy's father.
De Niro, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in Silver Linings Playbook, also made a cameo appearance in O. Russell's American Hustle.
Joy is scheduled to begin shooting in February 2015.
